Overview

Following the American Civil War, visionary inventor Victor Barbicane creates a revolutionary energy source known as Power X. Eager to demonstrate its capabilities, he embarks on an ambitious mission to launch a projectile to the moon. Accompanied by his loyal assistant Ben Sharpe, his rival Stuyvesant Nicholl, and Nicholl's daughter Virginia, the expedition faces unexpected turmoil. Nicholl, convinced that Power X violates divine principles, sabotages their vessel, leading to a gripping struggle as the team races against time to fix their craft and secure their return to Earth.
