Coconut Hero (2015)

Sixteen-year-old Mike struggles with the challenges of adolescence in the isolated town of Faintville, Canada. Living with his overbearing mother and lacking friends or a sense of purpose, he fantasizes about disappearing entirely. In a moment of despair, he pens his own obituary and attempts suicide, only to wake up in the hospital. There, doctors find a plum-sized tumor in his brain, leading him to unexpectedly cherish his life. As he grapples with mortality, Mike's perspective shifts, especially regarding the intriguing and unpredictable Miranda, who may just be the connection he desperately needs.
