Pamfir (2022)
Reformed smuggler Pamfir arrives back in his Ukrainian border village, eager to lead an honest life and inspire his teenage son, Nazar. However, deep-rooted corruption and the intertwining of crime and faith complicate his intentions when Nazar, in a misguided attempt to keep his father close, accidentally burns down the local church. To cover the damages, Pamfir is forced into one final job with a crime syndicate involved in a perilous smuggling operation, where he quickly learns that the rules have shifted dramatically since his departure.
