A struggling screenwriter falsely claims to be transgender to get funding. Once the lie is out, it takes on a life of its own: the money comes in, the doors swing open, and the people who matter start paying attention. But holding the story together gets harder by the day, and the gap between who he pretends to be and who he really is keeps widening.
