Scarred Hearts (2017)
In the summer of 1937, Emanuel, a young man in his twenties, finds himself in a sanatorium along the picturesque Black Sea, battling bone tuberculosis. Enduring painful spine punctures and confined to a plastered stretcher, he initially grapples with despair. However, as he acclimates to his somber surroundings, Emanuel uncovers a vibrant world within the walls of the sanatorium. Through connections with fellow patients and moments of joy, he learns to embrace life despite his challenges, ultimately discovering resilience amidst suffering.
