Very Happy Alexander (1968)
Alexandre, a diligent farmer, finds himself under the thumb of his tyrannical wife, who demands relentless labor from him. Following her untimely death in a car accident, he seizes the opportunity for liberation, opting to remain in bed and enjoy a life of leisure. With only a devoted dog to bring him meals and newspapers, Alexandre embraces his newfound freedom, relishing the peace and idleness he has long been denied.
