Journeying to legendary races—the Western States Endurance Run through eastern California's mountains and the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc in the French Alps—the film celebrates these athletes who sustain their ferocity across 100 miles of mountain trails, gaining thousands of vertical feet along the way.
