Thieves' Highway (1949)
Nick Garcos returns home from World War II eager to start a life with his girlfriend, Polly Faber. However, he discovers that his father has been brutally attacked and robbed by the mob-linked trucker, Mike Figlia. Fueled by a desire for revenge, Nick teams up with Rica, a prostitute entangled in the criminal world. As they pursue Figlia, Nick finds himself increasingly immersed in the dangerous underbelly of organized crime, complicating his quest for justice and testing his resolve.
