Overview

An elderly hibakusha, whose husband perished in the atomic bombing of Nagasaki in 1945, spends a summer nurturing her four grandchildren. Amidst family gatherings and memories, she discovers that her long-lost brother, Suzujiro, resides in Hawaii and wishes to reunite before his time runs out. The film beautifully explores themes of loss, family bonds, and the lingering impacts of history, as she contemplates the journey to reconnect with her brother and confront the shadows of the past.
