Overview

Eighteen-year-old Ana navigates the challenges of life in East Los Angeles, torn between her dreams of pursuing a college education and the traditional expectations placed upon her by her overbearing mother. While her mother envisions a future of marriage and motherhood, as well as taking charge of their struggling family textile factory, Ana grapples with her own identity and ambitions. As she seeks to carve out her path, the clash between familial obligations and personal aspirations comes to a head, forcing her to confront what it truly means to embrace her womanhood.
