Magdala Rose

Overview

Set against the backdrop of 1244's religious strife, Magdala Rose chronicles the struggle of the Cathars, a peaceful Christian sect targeted by Pope Innocent IV and King Louis IX of France. With their numbers dwindling, the remaining heretics take refuge in Montsegur Castle, where a valiant band of around 100 knights, led by Lord Raymond and his family, withstands a siege from a massive force of over 10,000 mercenaries for nine grueling months. Amidst the chaos, whispers of a hidden treasure, possibly the Holy Grail, spark a daring escape attempt in the dead of night.
