The Day of the Triffids (1963)
Following a mysterious meteor shower that blinds much of humanity, a merchant navy officer faces a terrifying new threat: towering, carnivorous plants known as Triffids. As society collapses around him, he must navigate a world where survival is a battle against these aggressive flora that prey on the helpless. With dwindling resources and escalating danger, he embarks on a desperate quest to reclaim safety and fight back against the monstrous vegetation that threatens to consume the remnants of humanity.
