Towards the Day of Doom (2014)
Four narratives weave together the tapestry of Finnish life. Drum artist Monkki Mähönen returns to his former bandmate's summer villa for renovations, stirring nostalgia. Meanwhile, aspiring motorcycle gang leader Jouni faces public humiliation at a local shop. In the 1960s, star reporter Erkki "Likasanko" Sysimetsä dives into the scandalous affairs of pipe organ repairman Arvo Hakala. Lastly, fantasy and sci-fi director Kurt "Kurre" von Riikonen seeks funding for his ambitious project, Excalibur IV, but his quest leads to unexpected disasters. Each story reveals the complexities of ambition, friendship, and failure.
