Sword of the Conqueror

Overview

Alboino, the ambitious Lombard king, seeks to wed the daughter of a rival monarch, despite her heart belonging to another man. Her father, believing the alliance will strengthen his power, forces the marriage upon her. However, Alboino betrays the king, killing him and leaving the true lover, Amalchi, for dead. Surviving against the odds, Amalchi rises to rally a rebellion against Alboino, determined to avenge his beloved and reclaim her from the clutches of her ruthless captor.
