Akram Khan’s Giselle, regarded as a landmark in contemporary dance, makes its cinematic debut, featuring Artistic Director Tamara Rojo in the titular role. Set against the backdrop of displaced migrant workers from a shuttered garment factory, this reimagined classic explores themes of love, betrayal, and redemption. With stunning visuals crafted by Academy Award-winning designer Tim Yip and a haunting adaptation of Adolphe Adam’s score by composer Vincenzo Lamagna, the performance is enhanced by dramaturgy from Ruth Little and lighting by Tony Award-winner Mark Henderson.
