To rescue his ailing father, young stunt biker Johnny Blaze relinquishes his soul to Mephistopheles, leading to a heartbreaking farewell with his true love, Roxanne Simpson. Fast forward several years, and Johnny encounters Roxanne again, now an ambitious journalist. At the same time, Mephistopheles reappears, presenting Johnny with a tempting deal: he can reclaim his soul if he embraces the legendary, blazing persona of the 'Ghost Rider.'
