Overview

Arumugham, a kind-hearted but uneducated village man, has grown up alongside his childhood friend Easwari. When a chemical factory poisons their local river, the villagers' pleas to stop the pollution are ignored. They decide Arumugham must travel to Chennai to meet the minister who represents their constituency. Accompanied by Easwari and her grandmother, he arrives in the city and stays with a friend and his gang.
