Lousy Carter, an immature artist, juggles the pressures of finishing his animated adaptation of Nabokov while also leading a graduate seminar on The Great Gatsby. Amidst his chaotic life, he finds himself entangled in an affair with his best friend's wife. With only six months left to live, Lousy's reckless decisions and creative aspirations collide, pushing him to confront the consequences of his actions and the fleeting nature of his existence. As time runs out, he must grapple with his unfinished work and the relationships that define him.
