Three Little Words

Overview

Bert Kalmar, a once-celebrated song-and-dance performer, faces a career change after a debilitating injury forces him into lyric writing. Destiny intervenes when he crosses paths with composer Harry Ruby, leading to their first collaboration becoming a smash hit. Ruby encourages Kalmar to wed his ex-partner, Jessie Brown, while the trio navigates romantic entanglements to protect Ruby from poor choices. However, tensions rise when Ruby's actions jeopardize funding for one of Kalmar's productions, ultimately resulting in a split between the two creative partners.
