In the Navy (1941)
Popular singer Russ Raymond decides to leave his thriving career behind to enlist in the Navy, adopting the alias Tommy Halstead. Determined to uncover his true identity, reporter Dorothy Roberts tracks him down, eager to snap a photo that will expose him. Once on the USS Alabama, Tommy teams up with fellow sailors Smoky and Pomeroy, who assist in keeping him hidden from the relentless Dorothy. As she devises various plans to capture Tommy in his new life as a sailor, a comedic game of cat and mouse ensues on the high seas.
