Overview

During the Great Depression, Chaney, a tough and taciturn street fighter, partners with Speed, a promoter eager to capitalize on underground boxing. They head to New Orleans, where Speed secures a loan to organize fights for Chaney. However, his reckless gambling habits threaten their plans, as he squanders any potential winnings. As they navigate the gritty world of street fighting and financial peril, Chaney must confront not only his opponents but also the loyalty and trust between him and Speed.
