Overview

Two American filmmakers embark on a risky undercover mission in China and Tibet during a tumultuous period marked by government oppression. Their journey begins in activist hotspots across India and Nepal, leading them into Tibet's most isolated regions amid a strict media blackout that began in 2008. Aiming to connect with courageous Tibetan activists protesting against the Chinese regime, they quickly find themselves in a perilous game of cat-and-mouse as secret police closely monitor them. With their plans thwarted, they turn the cameras on their own harrowing experiences, facing theft, hacking, and ultimately, a life-threatening escape back to the U.S.
