Overview

Otto Baxter, a 35-year-old man with Down Syndrome, embarks on a six-year journey to create a bold, autobiographical comedy-horror-musical set in Victorian London. His film, The Puppet Asylum, serves as a medium for Otto to delve into his origins, adoption, and his tumultuous struggle against ‘The Master,’ a sinister magician intent on controlling his destiny. As Otto navigates the filmmaking process, he faces personal challenges, including the death of his birth mother.
