Amidst World War II, the group known as "The Women's Land Army" enlisted women to take over farming duties in Britain while the men fought in the war. Among them, three "land girls" from diverse social standings—reserved Stella, aspiring hairdresser Prue, and educated Ag from Cambridge—forge a strong friendship, overcoming their varied backgrounds.
