Overview

Dr. Alvaro Cruz, a neuroscientist grappling with the trauma of losing his mother, seeks purpose in an unexpected encounter with Una Vida, a jazz singer he finds busking in the vibrant streets of New Orleans. As her health deteriorates and her adopted daughter and singing partner struggle to support her, Cruz embarks on a quest to locate her estranged son. Through this journey, he aims to confront the sorrow and yearning that have marked Una's challenging yet poignant life, ultimately striving to provide her with the closure she desperately needs.
