The Eel (1997)
After murdering his unfaithful wife, a businessman serves time in prison. Upon his release, he starts anew by opening a barbershop, where he encounters various characters. However, he remains largely isolated, communicating little with others. Instead, he finds solace in the companionship of an eel he had befriended during his incarceration, fostering a unique bond that reflects his inner turmoil and quest for redemption. As he navigates life outside, the eel symbolizes his struggles and the emotional distance he maintains from the world around him.
