The Boys (2023)

Overview

In 1999, a chilling robbery and murder at a small supermarket in Samnye, Jeonbuk province, leads to the wrongful imprisonment of three local boys, who are accused without a fair trial. A year later, veteran detective Hwang Joon-cheol takes over the Crime Investigation Division, receiving a lead on the true killers. As he attempts to exonerate the boys, his efforts are sabotaged by the original investigator, Choi Woo-sung, resulting in Hwang’s demotion. Fast forward sixteen years, and the victim’s daughter, Yoon Mi-sook, reappears alongside the boys, united in their quest for justice.
