Bye Bye Africa (2003)

A Chadian filmmaker, now based in France, returns to his homeland after his mother's passing. Upon arrival, he is disheartened by the country's decline and the sorry state of its cinema. Confronted with this stark reality, he resolves to create a film as a tribute to his late mother.
