India's Hospital Train
India's Hospital Train (2009)
Overview
A remarkable journey unfolds aboard the Lifeline Express, often dubbed the Magic Train, equipped with advanced operating theatres and recovery rooms. For four weeks, a dedicated team of volunteer medical professionals travels to Mandsor, delivering essential surgeries to impoverished rural residents unable to access or afford medical care. Among the patients are Dashrath, who is losing his hearing, Bharat, who struggles to walk, and baby Shiva, born with a cleft lip. Their transformations highlight the profound impact of compassion and modern medicine, bridging the gap between contemporary healthcare and village life in India.
