The Shadow-Line (1976)
Andrzej Wajda adapts Joseph Conrad's novella in this gripping tale of a young sea captain facing his maiden voyage. Stranded in a mysterious calm, his authority is tested as a malaria outbreak weakens the crew. Tension escalates when the first mate spreads fear of the ship being haunted by the vengeful spirit of the former captain.
