Toby Tyler or Ten Weeks with a Circus (1960)
Frustrated by his strict Uncle Daniel, Toby Tyler escapes his foster home to join a circus, quickly forming a bond with Mr. Stubbs, a playful chimpanzee. However, the excitement of circus life dims when the sinister candy vendor, Harry Tupper, manipulates Toby into believing that his Aunt Olive and Uncle Daniel have abandoned him. Accepting his new life, Toby's spirits are lifted when he uncovers Tupper's deceit and learns of his relatives' genuine love. Ultimately, Toby joyfully decides to return to the family that truly cares for him.
