The Garden of Words (2013)
Takao, a shoemaker apprentice, finds solace in a serene Japanese garden where he sketches shoes while skipping school. There, he encounters Yukino, an enigmatic older woman. Their chance meetings become a ritual, occurring exclusively on rainy days, allowing them to connect on a deeper level and share their vulnerabilities. As their bond strengthens, they face the inevitable conclusion of the rainy season, which threatens to disrupt their growing relationship. The fleeting beauty of their time together raises questions about love, longing, and the passage of time.
