The Olive Tree (2016)
Alma's family has long been renowned for their premium olive oil in Castellón, Spain, but economic shifts have forced them into the poultry business. Her grandfather, consumed by grief, has fallen silent and refuses to eat, while Alma's father and uncle grow increasingly frustrated. Understanding her grandfather's sorrow, Alma discovers it stems from the loss of a cherished thousand-year-old olive tree, sold to settle debts.
