The Year of the Dog (1994)
Sergei, a reformed criminal, crosses paths with Vera, an elderly woman trapped in a life of discontent at a dormitory. Following another lapse into crime, the duo finds themselves on the run, inadvertently entering a radiation-contaminated zone. While Sergei contemplates staying behind, Vera refuses to abandon him.
