Jim Ashilevi

Jim Ashilevi, born on August 29, 1984, in Tallinn, is a prominent Estonian writer and director celebrated for his contributions to theater and television. Ashilevi's educational journey began at Tallinn English College before he pursued a degree in audiovisual media at Tallinn University, where he honed his skills in storytelling and visual arts. His quest for knowledge led him to the Viljandi Academy of Culture, where he specialized in directing, graduating in 2011.

Throughout his career, Ashilevi has made significant strides in the literary and theatrical landscapes of Estonia. He has penned numerous plays and has contributed short stories and poetry to esteemed publications such as Vikerkaar, Värske Råh, Vihik, and ZA/UM. From 2010 to early 2014, he captivated audiences as the host of the popular television program "OP!"

In addition to his writing, Ashilevi has been an integral part of the Von Krahl Theater since 2013, where he showcases his talents as a director, actor, and playwright. His dynamic contributions to the arts have established him as a key figure in Estonia's cultural scene, earning him recognition as a versatile and innovative artist.
