Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia
Emanuele Filiberto Umberto Reza Ciro René Maria di Savoia, born on June 22, 1972, in Geneva, Switzerland, is a prominent figure in the House of Savoy. As the son of Vittorio Emanuele of Savoy and the last male-line descendant of Umberto II, Italy's final reigning monarch, he holds the title of heir-apparent to the contested headship of the family and is also known as the "Prince of Piedmont."
Due to the Italian constitution's restrictions that lasted until November 2002, Emanuele Filiberto spent much of his early life in exile from Italy. His return marked a new chapter, as he began to engage with the public through various media outlets. He gained widespread recognition by participating in the popular Italian television show "Ballando con le stelle," the local adaptation of "Dancing with the Stars," and showcased his musical talents at the prestigious Sanremo Music Festival.
In his personal life, Emanuele Filiberto is married to the talented French actress Clotilde Courau. Together, they represent a blend of royal heritage and contemporary cultural influence, reflecting the evolving narrative of the House of Savoy in modern Italy. His journey from exile to a public figure exemplifies resilience and adaptability in reclaiming his family's legacy.
