Roman Abramovich

Roman Arkadyevich Abramovich, born on October 24, 1966, in Saratov, Russia, is a prominent Russian oligarch and politician with a multifaceted career. He is best known as the former owner of Chelsea Football Club, a major player in the Premier League, and as the principal owner of the investment firm Millhouse LLC. Abramovich holds citizenship in Russia, Israel, and Portugal.

Between 2000 and 2008, he served as the Governor of Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, where he gained recognition for his contributions to regional development. His wealth, estimated at $14.5 billion by Forbes in 2021, ranks him as the second-wealthiest person in Israel, the eleventh in Russia, and the richest in Portugal. Much of his fortune stems from acquiring state-owned assets during the tumultuous post-Soviet privatization era of the 1990s.

Abramovich's early life was marked by tragedy; he lost both parents by the age of four and was raised by relatives in the Komi Republic.
