Desiree Hurtak
Dr. Desiree Hurtak is a prominent social scientist, futurist, and co-founder of The Academy For Future Science, an international organization that operates across more than fifteen countries alongside her husband, Dr. J.J. Hurtak. As an environmental advocate and prolific author, she has made significant contributions to literature, with notable works including *Overself Awakening*, co-authored with her husband and translated into six languages, and *The 72 Names of the Myriad Expressions of the Divine Mother*. Together with Dr. Elizabeth Rauscher, she also penned *Mind Dynamics in Space and Time*.
Desiree has actively engaged in global discussions, notably hosting a panel at the United Nations Rio+20 Summit in 2012, where she highlighted the Academy's initiatives with Indigenous communities in Brazil focused on youth and sustainable development. Her involvement in significant UN events includes the UN DPI Climate Forum in New York (2007) and the World Summit for Sustainable Development in Johannesburg (2002). She has also contributed to interfaith dialogue at the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Melbourne (2009), Salt Lake City (2015), and Toronto (2018), and was a co-founder of the Committee for Spiritual Values and Global Concerns in New York.
An accomplished film producer, Desiree has worked with the Manhattan Neighborhood Network and has been involved in award-winning media projects such as *The Light Body* and *The Voice of Africa*. She has a Master's degree in International Relations from Syracuse University and a Ph.D. in Public Policy from The New School University. In addition to her archaeological work in Egypt and Mexico, she was a scientific consultant for Sidney Sheldon’s *The Doomsday Conspiracy* and has appeared in various films and radio programs, including The Deepak Chopra Show and Coast to Coast Radio.
