Caroline Langrishe
Caroline Langrishe, born on January 10, 1958, in London, England, is a distinguished English actress renowned for her versatile performances across television and film. She gained early recognition in 1976 with the BBC production of *The Glittering Prizes*. The following year, she portrayed Kitty in the adaptation of *Anna Karenina*, marking her entry into significant roles. Her breakthrough came in 1978 when she starred in the British adaptation of *Les Misérables*.
Langrishe showcased her talent in the BBC's *Play for Today* episodes *The Flipside of Dominick Hide* (1980) and its sequel (1982). In 1984, she played Janet Hollywell in Charles Dickens' *A Christmas Carol*, featuring George C. Scott. She became a prominent figure in the detective genre with a leading role in the 1987 series *Pulaski* and later appeared in the 1990 series *Chancer*.
Her role as Charlotte Cavendish in the beloved series *Lovejoy* (1993-94) remains one of her most notable performances. Langrishe also made appearances in *Sharpe's Regiment* (1996) and *Sharpe's Justice* (1997) as Lady Anne Camoynes. More recently, she joined the cast of the long-running BBC medical drama *Casualty* as executive director Marilyn Fox and featured in *Judge John Deed* alongside Martin Shaw.
In her personal life, Langrishe married actor Patrick Drury in 1984, with whom she shares two daughters, Rosalind and Leonie. The couple divorced in 1995.
