Gizel Jiménez is a talented American actress and singer known for her dynamic performances on stage and screen. Born in Miami, she spent her formative years in New York before relocating to Florida at the age of 13. Her passion for music was evident early on, as she competed in classical vocal contests during her time at Coral Reef High School. She further honed her craft at the New World School of the Arts in Miami, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre.

Jiménez's professional journey began with a Broadway tour where she took on the role of Rosalia in *West Side Story*. She gained recognition in 2013 when she performed at the Walnut Street Theatre in *In the Heights*. In 2015, her performance in *The Theory of Relativity* at the Norma Terris Theatre marked her debut with Goodspeed Musicals.

In 2018, she showcased her talents in *Alice by Heart* at Vassar College and took on the role of Kate Monster in *Avenue Q*. Her powerful performance in *Miss You Like Hell* earned her a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Musical. The following year, she starred in a production of *Reefer Madness* and joined the ensemble of *Wicked* as Nessarose on Broadway.

In 2020, Jiménez portrayed Princess Piper in the original cast of *Bliss the Musical* at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre. She made her television debut in an episode of *Law & Order: SVU* and starred in the short film *Timmy Two Chins*, alongside comedian Nick Kroll in a Comedy Central commercial. She appeared in the 2021 musical film *Tick, Tick... Boom!* and had a recurring role as Tess in Showtime's *Dexter: New Blood* in 2022. In 2024, she will be seen as Mel in the Apple TV+ series *Bad Monkey*.
