John Richardson
John Richardson (January 19, 1934 - January 5, 2021) was a prominent English actor whose career spanned from the 1950s to the 1990s, leaving a lasting impact on both British and Italian cinema.
Among his notable works, Richardson featured in several Italian productions, most memorably in Mario Bava's horror classic *Black Sunday* (1960). However, he is perhaps best recognized for his role in the iconic film *One Million Years B.C.* (1966), where he portrayed a prehistoric caveman who found love with the legendary Raquel Welch, a performance that became a defining moment in his career.
Richardson's filmography also includes smaller roles in other significant films, such as the 1959 remake of *The 39 Steps*, *Tender is the Night* (1962) where he appeared uncredited as a young man, and *On A Clear Day You Can See Forever* (1970), featuring Barbra Streisand. He was notably cast as the male lead in both *She* and *One Million Years B.C.*, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
At one point, Richardson was even in the running for the coveted role of James Bond but ultimately lost the opportunity to George Lazenby.
