Margo Hall is a highly regarded actor, director, educator, and activist, recently appointed as the Artistic Director of the Lorraine Hansberry Theatre. With over three decades of experience on Bay Area stages, Hall has made a significant impact on the local theater scene. She gained recognition for her roles in the acclaimed film BLINDSPOTTING alongside Oakland native Daveed Diggs and in Netflix's All Day and a Night. Her recent stage performance was in Exit Strategy at the Aurora Theater.

As a director, Hall has helmed productions such as How I Learned What I Learned at Marin Theatre Company, BARBECUE—where she also took on a lead role—and Red Velvet for SF Playhouse, as well as Brownsville, b-side for tray at Shotgun Players. Her extensive acting portfolio includes notable performances in Marin Theatre Company's productions of JAZZ and Fences, California Shakespeare Theater's A Midsummer Night’s Dream and A Raisin in the Sun, and works at American Conservatory Theater and Aurora Theater, among others.

In addition to her acting and directing achievements, Hall is an accomplished playwright. Her notable work, The People’s Temple, earned the Glickman Award for Best New Play in the Bay Area in 2005. She also created Be Bop Baby, a semi-autobiographical musical at Z Space accompanied by the Marcus Shelby 15-piece Orchestra. A founding member of Campo Santo, Hall collaborates with diverse artists and teaches theater at UC Berkeley and Chabot College.
