Metin Akpınar

Metin Akpınar, born in 1942, embarked on his acting journey at the age of 20, joining an amateur theatre group. In 1964, he transitioned to professional acting, quickly making a name for himself in prominent theatrical productions. By 1967, Akpınar co-established the Devekusu Theatre, which became notable as Turkey's inaugural cabaret theatre, showcasing innovative performances and a fresh approach to the arts.

His film career began in earnest in 1972 with a role in one of Ertem Eğilmez's popular comedies, marking the start of a vibrant cinematic journey. Akpınar formed a significant on-screen partnership with fellow actor and director Zeki Alasya, with the duo gaining immense popularity as comedic figures, often portraying bumbling characters that resonated with audiences.
