Lee Kerslake

Lee Kerslake was a distinguished drummer best known for his tenure with the British rock band Uriah Heep, where he made significant contributions from 1972 until 1998. Before joining Uriah Heep, Kerslake was a member of the band Gods, with whom he recorded three albums, showcasing his early talent in the music scene. His versatility as a musician allowed him to collaborate with prominent artists, including contributing to the solo projects of David Byron and Ken Hensley while still performing with Uriah Heep.

In 1976, Kerslake recorded one final album with Gods before returning to Uriah Heep, where he helped shape the band's sound during their peak years. His impressive resume also includes drumming for iconic figures in rock music, such as Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath, solidifying his reputation as a sought-after session musician.

Kerslake's remarkable career was marked by his powerful drumming style and his ability to adapt to various musical genres. Sadly, he passed away on September 19, 2020, at the age of 73, after a courageous battle with cancer.
